Music and theatre, with their ability to bring joy and beauty to us, highly influenced my decision to be involved in these areas from an early age through high school. In college I studied music and theatre arts, graduating from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education.
While raising our family, I was involved in local area music and theatre productions which allowed me the opportunity to use my talents in set design, costuming, and directing as well as performing.
Although I’ve explored other areas of interest -- hotel sales and management, education, retail sales, various office positions -- I always realized I needed to come back to my desire for a hands-on approach to do something beautiful in our world.
When the younger of our two sons left home, it was the perfect time to focus on my long time interest and love of interior decorating. In 2004, I graduated from the Sheffield School of Interior Design, New York, and started my own business.
